E-bike Classes

The e-bike market is divided into differents classes :

  • Class 1 : Pedelec or Pedal Assist System : The rider have to pedal and then the motor will asssit him
  • Class 2 : e-bike with Throttle : The rider does not have to pedal. Like a scooter or a motorcycle, you push the throttle and the bike will move forward.
  • Class 3 : Speed Pedelec : This e-bike have a pedal assist sytem but the top speed is 28 mph.

Types of e-bike

Electrically assisted bicycles are available in different versions to meet all needs :

  • Urban electric bike : you live in a city and you want to go to work with a bike? The urban electric bike can replace a car.
